Monnett De La Torre

An adept litigator and based out of Ventura County, Ms. De La Torre represents California employees in all aspects of labor and employment law. Ms. De La Torre has extensive experience handling single plaintiff and class action litigation, including PAGA matters. Ms. De La Torre has extensive experience in matters involving wage and hour disputes, misclassification, unfair labor practices, discrimination, harassment, retaliation and wrongful termination.

Ms. De La Torre has handled matters through trial, arbitration and appeals. Ms. De La Torre has experience handling matters before the Department of Fair Employment and Housing, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and Department of Labor.

Ms. De La Torre additionally has extensive experience handling internal workplace Investigations.

Prior to joining JCL Law Firm, Ms. De La Torre practiced in Camarillo, CA handling employment matters and downtown Los Angeles handling various insurance defense matters.

Ms. De La Torre has been named as a Southern California "Rising Star" by Super Lawyers for consecutive years, 2021 and 2022. She has been named as one of the "Top 40 under 40" by the Pacific Coast Business Times and nominated in consecutive years for the "Daily Transcripts" "Top Young Attorneys."

Ms. De La Torre attended the University of California, San Diego and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics with a minor in Latin American Studies in 2006. She earned her Juris Doctorate in 2010 from New England School of Law, where she was on the dean's list for consecutive years.

Originally from the San Diego area, Monnett now resides in Camarillo with her family. During her free time, she enjoys staying active, traveling, live music, sporting events and watching her children race bmx.
